Christina Brandt, Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Brandt has been CEO of AtWork! since August of 2006. She is leading the organization through an evolutionary transformation to change the way people with significant disabilities get and retain real jobs. Her career includes thirty years of experience working on behalf of people with disabilities, low income families, and people experiencing homelessness.
Ms. Brandt is President of the Board for the Community Employment Alliance, a non-profit advocacy organization with a membership network of businesses and employment service providers in the State of Washington. She is spearheading a group of employment providers and King County staff working to create a common set of measurable outcomes. She is also a member of a state rate structure committee advising the Department of Developmental Disabilities about legislative direction and policy. Ms. Brandt is a member of the Issaquah Kiwanis Club and chairs the Community Services Committee and the Aktion Club Committee.
Prior to joining AtWork! Ms. Brandt served as Vice President of Operations for Volunteers of America Western Washington, overseeing a $18 million budget. She was also instrumental in the development of Snohomish County’s Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness which has received national attention as a best practice model. From 1998 to 2003 Ms. Brandt served as the Chief Operations Officer for AtWork! and managed human resources, crew services, and general operations for the Bellevue and Kenmore facilities. She was heavily involved in the negotiations that led to the merger of Custom Industries and Community Enterprises of Issaquah to become AtWork! in 1998.
Bob Thompson, Chief Operations Officer
Bob Thompson joined AtWork! as CFO in 2005. In 2010 Mr. Thompson became Chief Operations Officer. He brings over 30 years of business experience and expertise to his role. His responsibilities include Financial Administration, IT services, safety and facilities. He is a CPA and his background includes experience as Controller/CFO of small privately owned manufacturing, retail and wholesale businesses. He has served on the boards of the Scan Design Foundation and the Northwest Danish Foundation.
Wally Tablit, VP of Employment Services
Wally is a recognized leader in the field of Supported Employment with over 18 years experience working with people with disabilities. He is known as a strong collaborator and colleague among employment providers. An energetic and motivating leader, Wally’s enduring passion to cultivate and build highly efficient teams fuels his efforts to nurture and mentor the next generation of leaders.
Wally is a past board member of the Community Employment Alliance (CEA) and is the current President of the Washington State Association of People Supporting Employment (APSE) Chapter. Wally was recently elected to the national board of APSE.
Wendy Randall, Director of Service Quality and Community Access
Wendy Randall discovered her passion for working with people with developmental disabilities in 1983 through a volunteering opportunity, and has been involved in service to them ever since. Upon leaving an employment focus of for-profit financial management, Wendy concentrated on developing community inclusion and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. She joined AtWork! in 1989 and has devoted her efforts ever since towards creating community employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Dennis Maughan, Chief Development Officer
Dennis Maughan became a Washingtonian over ten years ago after having spent most of his life in Idaho where he was a county commissioner and served on the city council in his hometown of Twin Falls, ID. For the past sixteen years Dennis has dedicated himself professionally to building a culture of philanthropy at hospitals in Twin Falls, Walla Walla, Kennewick and Kirkland with special emphasis on capital campaigns, planned giving and major gifts.
Dennis is married with two grown children and grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys long distance running, bicycling, hiking and canoeing.
Anne, Director of People and Culture
Anne was born in San Francisco, CA and joined AtWork! in April of 2013. Anne comes to Atwork! with years of Human Resource experience from the Hospitality Industry, to Land Development to Corporate Director of HR of two Cruise Lines a Casino and a Hotel Management Company position. Her experience encompasses pre-openings, start-ups and growth development. Anne has traveled and lived throughout the United States as well as abroad as an Ex-Pat. This experience has given Anne exposure to other cultures, languages, and the opportunity to experience and embrace diversity.
Anne was raised by a family that supported people with disabilities, indigent farm workers, the homeless, and several other organizations that promoted awareness. She continues to support several charities in the Seattle area on an ongoing basis. Anne is currently serving on the advisory board for VetNet out of Long Beach, CA, supporting returning vets to take their military experience into civilian life. Anne feels for the first time in her career as a Human Resource professional she is working with people who are engaged in their job and who have a passion and dedication, which is refreshing and rare and which she thinks is exciting and feels this is the pulse of AtWork!.
