On March 1, AtWork! will hold its first ever Annual Employment Workshop!
The event will be held at AtWork!’s Bellevue location on March 1 from 9AM -12:30PM.
The School to Work Transition Services team is an extension of the Employment Services team.
The team helps high school students with disabilities prepare for employment after they graduate from school. Staff hope to use the morning for skills development, teaching attendees how to build resumes and provide scenarios for participants to take part in mock interviews. They will also provide problem-solving work scenarios.
Guests will be meet Daniel, a self advocate and graduate of the School to Work program, who will share his story. They will also met with Northwest Behavior Associate’s Alex Chehab. Alex is a Program Supervisor and Development Coordinator, who is also NBA’s agency affiliated counselor. Wally Tablit, AtWork!’s Vice President of Employment Services will also speak at the event.
AtWork! School to Work staff work with students from the Bellevue and all Snohomish County school districts.
Employment consultants pair with students through the school year to assess skills, interest, provide job training and resources and ultimately match and place students in jobs after graduation. Learn more about Transition Services here.
