AtWork! Recycling

Called a community treasure by the City of Issaquah, the AtWork! Recycle Center provides a free community drop-off site for your recyclable products. For your convenience, our center is the area's only 24-hour/7-day-a-week drop-off facility for recyclable items. Our experienced crew sorts commodities for shipment and re-sale and always looks for innovative ways to recycle. Our recycling center is another example of AtWork!’s mission: providing valuable community and environmental services, while employing individuals with disabilities.

Cloth/Clothing

Recycle cloth/clothing.The garments you recycle will benefit people all over the globe. Collected textiles and shoes are shipped to overseas grading stations, where they are sorted by size, season, gender, and condition, then shipped to countries which are experiencing severe shortages of even the most basic clothing. Garments which are no longer wearable are made into "rags" or pulled apart and reprocessed into fibers for paper, upholstery, and insulation materials. Cloths which can’t be recycled are composted whenever possible.  Visit Retex Northwest to learn more

We encourage you to learn more about recycling by visiting the King County Solid Waste website for more information on ways you can reduce, reuse, and recycle!
